Homily - 16th Sunday after Pentecost - 9/8/13

In his Homily, Fr. Rankin reflected on the convergence of three liturgical events taking place on Sunday.  First, it was the 16th Sunday after Pentecost; Second, it was the Feast of The Nativity of The Theotokos; Finally, it was the Sunday before the Exaltation of The Holy Cross.

Fr. Rankin spoke about the Nativity of The Theotokos and theological connection of celebrating her arrival in the world because she was the initiator of God's plan of salvation into the world.

Fr. Rankin ended his homily with a beautiful chant narrating how closely the Theotokos and Christ are connected in God's plan of salvation.
